Cookies and saved settings

A preference cookie and matching local storage value may be used to remember your selected language and avoid forcing a new locale choice on every visit.

When a page has no language in the URL, AsKrs checks your saved choice first. If there is no saved choice, visits from Korea can start in Korean. Everyone else starts in English.

Weather, exchange, and gold pages may save short-term data in your browser so repeat visits feel faster and temporary provider hiccups do not leave the page empty.

That short-term data is there to keep the page usable. It is not a long-term record of everything you do on the site.

Favorites, comparison trays, saved comparisons, clipped guides, recent comparisons, and the Compare color theme are stored only in local storage on the browser you are using. They are not attached to an account or synchronized to another device.

You can remove individual items in My Library, clear the comparison tray, or export and import a JSON backup. Clearing this site's local storage in your browser removes the saved library from that browser.

AsKrs may show clearly labeled advertising placements only after the core page content is established. If no eligible ad is available, the page keeps the editorial content first and can collapse the ad slot entirely.

Advertising behavior can also depend on runtime configuration and visitor consent. If advertising is disabled or the site is still in approval readiness mode, the public pages continue without ad UI.

AsKrs may store a short-lived anonymous session identifier in session storage when you use search. This helps reduce duplicate site-search records and improves the quality of popularity rankings without creating an account profile.

Use Cookie settings in the footer to change measurement and advertising choices at any time. You can also clear this site's cookies or storage in your browser to remove saved preferences and short-term page data.
