How do the frames and timing work?
Images are used as frames in the order you add them, up to 20 per run, and every frame is drawn at the first image's dimensions. Frame delay is clamped between 100 ms and 10 seconds, and the GIF loops forever.
Why do colors look flatter than the originals?
GIF holds at most 256 colors per frame, so photos and gradients get quantized down. Transparent areas are also filled with white before encoding.
