What separates increase or decrease from percentage difference?
Increase or decrease divides by the first value, so the order you type them in changes the answer. Percentage difference divides by the average of the two absolute values, so swapping the inputs gives the same number.
Why is 0 rejected as the first value?
A change measured from zero has no denominator, so the page stops with a message instead of showing infinity. Percentage difference is blocked only when both values are zero, and results are shown to at most two decimals.
